Lichtstad Open Takedown Tournament ’25

We are pleased to announce our first Takedown Tournament on Sunday 30 November 2025. Below you’ll find all the information regarding rules, categories, location and more. Rules

1. The first person to score 3 takedowns wins.
2. A takedown will be scored when there is a 3-second control time on the ground afterwards.
3. The landing position (back, belly, side) does not affect scoring.
4. Matches last 5 minutes. The fighter with the most takedowns at the end wins.
5. In case of a tie, a golden score period will decide the winner.

Don’t worry! Before each block we will hold a rules meeting to explain everything and answer questions.

The goal of this ruleset is to unite martial arts such as MMA, Judo, Wrestling, Sambo and more. The event is organised by athletes, for athletes. Suggestions are welcome via email or Instagram @rammfightingseries.

Categories & Fees

Men: -70 kg, -80 kg, -90 kg & +90 kg
Women: -60 kg, -70 kg & +70 kg

• Entry fee: €35
• Weigh-ins are mixed and done in t-shirt and shorts, with 1 kg tolerance.
• Senior divisions only. Fighters 16+ with significant experience may compete with a signed declaration from parents/guardians and coach. Email this to rammfightingseries@hotmail.com.
• Minors are not allowed to compete in the open class.

The “Ultim8 Jerseys” Open Class (18+)

For both men and women we offer an Open Class. The final block will be a bigger show, sponsored by Ultim8 Jerseys.

• Additional fee: €15 (100% goes to prize fund).

Schedule

Please keep an eye on this page and our Instagram @rammfightingseries.
Schedule depends on the number of referees and participants. We aim to make the experience as smooth as possible. Weigh-ins will likely be on the same day.

Clothing

• No-gi clothing: t-shirt/rashguard, shorts or leggings.
• Wrestling shoes are allowed but not mandatory.
• Please wear tight shirts for safety reasons.

Awards

Prize fund details are under review. Part of the entry fee goes into the medal fund. We are also looking for sponsors to add gifts, coupons or discounts. Contact us at rammfightingseries@hotmail.com if interested.

Event Information & Tickets

The Takedown Tournament is part of the Lichtstad Open, a multi-sport event featuring powerlifting, strongman, bodybuilding and sambo. It’s a family event with plenty to see and do.

Become a Referee

We are looking for referees and scorekeepers! Even if you cannot join this event but are interested in the future, please email us.

• No experience required.
• You’ll receive a fee, food and gifts.
• Fee depends on number of participants and matches.

Teams

Teams with 10+ fighters will receive a small discount on entry fees. Please contact us via email.

Ultim8 Takedown Tournament Jersey

Pre-order your Ultim8 Takedown Tournament T-shirt during registration. Sizes XS–XL (unisex). Pre-orders are open until 30 October. Shirts will be delivered at weigh-ins.

Pre-orders require both registration fee and t-shirt payment before 30 October. For custom payment, email rammfightingseries@hotmail.com for a link.
